The nationally ranked UW-Oshkosh football team plays at NCAA Division II member Northern Michigan University on Saturday (Sept. 10). Kickoff is set for noon (CDT) at the Superior Dome in Marquette, Mich.

UW-Oshkosh (1-0), ranked 17th in the Division III by D3football.com, and Northern Michigan (0-1) will be meeting for the 26th time. The Titans defeated Northern Michigan, 28-10, last season in Marquette and own a 15-9-1 record in the series that began in 1923.

The Titans won their season opener, 52-13, at home over East Texas Baptist University last Saturday (Sept. 3). UW-Oshkosh quarterback Kobe Berghammer was named Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week after throwing for 254 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for 29 yards and another two scores during the home opener.

Northern Michigan suffered a 31-24 overtime loss at home to McKendree University (Ill.) last Saturday. The Wildcats kicked a field goal with 50 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to force overtime, but McKendree got a 1-yard touchdown pass on fourth-and-goal on the first overtime possession. Northern Michigan's overtime possession concluded following an incomplete pass on fourth-and-16 at the McKendree 21-yard line.

In last season's matchup, UW-Oshkosh built a 21-0 lead late in the second quarter at Northern Michigan as Berghammer tossed a pair of touchdowns. The Titans later put the game away on Berghammer's third touchdown pass of the game midway through the fourth period for a 28-10 lead.
