Fans unable to travel to Salem, Va., for UW-Oshkosh's Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl appearance can access live coverage of the Titans in the NCAA Division III Football Championship title game against University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (Texas) via television, radio and stats.
UW-Oshkosh (13-1), ranked fourth in the nation by D3football.com, faces top-ranked University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (14-0) at 7 p.m. (ET) on Friday (Dec. 16) at Salem Football Stadium, which has hosted the championship contest since 1993.
Fans can view a live broadcast of the game on ESPNU. Kevin Brown will provide play-by-play for the national television broadcast while Craig Haubert will be the color commentator and Alex Corddry the sideline reporter.
At least one dozen Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl watch parties are planned, including six in Oshkosh.
The national championship game can also be heard on WRST-FM, the student-operated radio station at UW-Oshkosh, and WOSH-AM. WRST will begin its coverage of the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl with a pregame show at 6 p.m. (ET).
UW-Oshkosh and University of Mary Hardin-Baylor will be meeting for the first time. Both programs are seeking their first national football title in program history.
UW-Oshkosh is appearing in the national championship game for the first time. The Titans reached the semifinal round of the 32-team Division III tournament during their playoff debut in 2012 and the quarterfinals last season.
University of Mary Hardin-Baylor is back in the final game for the second time and first since falling, 28-21, to Linfield College (Ore.) in the 2004 championship. The Crusaders, making their 15th NCAA postseason appearance, also advanced to the semifinal round in 2007, 2008, 2012 and 2013; and to the quarterfinal round in 2006, 2010, 2011 and 2015.
