The UW-Oshkosh football team racked up its third-highest point total in school history during a 77-0 victory over Morthland College (Ill.) on Saturday (Sept. 24) in Marion, Ill.

UW-Oshkosh (3-0), ranked fifth in the NCAA Division III by D3football.com, scored touchdowns on its first 11 possessions, including six rushing scores, and held a 63-0 lead at halftime. The Titans possessed the ball for just 15:15 and averaged 13.25 yards per play.

The Titans did not commit a turnover or a penalty while Morthland College (1-2) turned the ball over four times and had nine penalties for 88 yards. UW-Oshkosh had a 530-103 advantage in total yards, including 285 to -63 rushing.

Paired with their 68-7 win at Finlandia University (Mich.) last Saturday (Sept. 17), the Titans have tallied a school-record 145 points in consecutive games.

UW-Oshkosh starting quarterback Brett Kasper and backup Jayden Essman both tossed a pair of touchdown passes while Connor Senger passed for one touchdown and ran for another. Kasper threw his fifth touchdown of the season while Essman notched his first two scores.

Kasper ended the contest 4 of 6 passing for 134 yards, Essman 2 of 3 for 52 yards and Senger 2 of 2 for 59 yards. Senger also contributed two carries for 23 yards and a touchdown for his second passing and second rushing scores of the season.

Chad Walton led the Titan running game with 75 yards on just four carries and his second career touchdown and the first of the season.

UW-Oshkosh's Dylan Hecker rushed three times for 51 yards with two touchdowns, Devon Linzenmeyer three rushes for 49 yards with one score, Andy Jones two totes for 43 with his first career touchdown, Mitch Gerhartz three carries for 27 and Beau Ash three carries for 23. Hecker registered his third rushing score of the year and 31st of his career while Linzenmeyer now has three rushing touchdowns this year and 12 career.

Both of Dom Todarello's two receptions went for touchdowns and a combined 90 yards. CJ Blackburn caught two passes for 87 yards and a touchdown, Evan Thammahong two grabs for 24 yards and his first career score. Robbie Bell also added his first career touchdown on a 38-yard catch.

Reese Dziedzic and Tyler Watson paced the UW-Oshkosh defense with five tackles, including two for loss and 1.5 sacks by Watson. All three of Steve Forner's tackles were for a loss, including a team-leading two sacks.

Nick Amato and Scott Skornicka both chipped in four tackles while Matt Kahn added one of the Titans' six sacks. Landon McDonald and Matt Rucynski had their first career fumble recoveries, and Taylor Ripplinger recorded his first interception.

Titans placekicker Eli Wettstein matched the program record by converting all nine of his extra point attempts while Greg Rand connected on both of his point-after tries.

Morthland College, playing its first season as a varsity program in the National Christian College Athletic Association Division I, fumbled on the opening possession of the game. Branden Lloyd recovered the loose ball at the Patriots 9-yard line, and Hecker ran into the end zone on the Titans' first offensive play for the second consecutive game.

Following a Morthland College punt, Kasper's 30-yard touchdown pass to Todarello capped a four-play, 58-yard drive in 50 seconds.

After another Patriots punt, Hecker accounted for all 42 yards of the UW-Oshkosh two-play, 33-second possession with two rushes, including a 35-yard score.

Kasper and Todarello connected on a 60-yard scoring strike that punctuated a two-play, 15-second drive for a 28-0 lead, and Linzenmeyer capped a three-play, 54-second possession with a 13-yard touchdown carry for a 35-0 advantage after one quarter.

Forner sacked Morthland College quarterback Dennis Chester on fourth-and-2 at the Titans' 40-yard line. After an 11-yard rush by Gerhartz, Senger hit Blackburn for a 49-yard score on the next play.

Gerhartz sparked the next UW-Oshkosh drive with a nine-yard carry, which was followed by a 38-yard run to the end zone by Jones that concluded a two-play, 43-second possession.

UW-Oshkosh defense forced incompletions by the Patriots on fourth downs on the next two drives, and the Titans tacked on a 22-yard, tackle-breaking touchdown run by Senger and an Essman to Thammahong 14-yard scoring pass to increase their lead to 63-0 at halftime.

The Titans achieved the final score with a 38-yard touchdown pass from Essman to Bell and a 53-yard run to the end zone by Walton on the first play of the possession.

The Patriots' Chester completed 17 of 37 passes for 166 yards with one interception.

Logan McGuire had two carries for 11 yards for Morthland College, which also received five catches for 84 yards from Brandon Hudgins, four grabs for 41 yards from Lalo Nevarez and a team-leading three tackles each from Lars Allen, Kylan Williams and Semaj Williams. The Patriots made just 23 tackles during the game.

UW-Oshkosh set a program record for points in a game last season with an 86-0 win over Finlandia University while the second-highest point total came in an 82-0 victory over Omro High School in 1910.
