Coming off its first regular-season loss in 19 games, UW-Oshkosh looks to bounce back against UW-Stevens Point on Saturday (Nov. 2). The Titans and Pointers will kick off at 1 p.m. at J. J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium.

UW-Oshkosh (6-1/3-1 WIAC), ranked 10th by D3football.com, dropped a 17-14 contest to fifth-ranked UW-Whitewater last week. Zach Kasuboski caught two touchdowns to lead the offense, while Cody Huemmer paced the defense with nine tackles and two sacks.

Huemmer leads the league in both sacks (7) and tackles for loss (11.5). The Titans rank fifth nationally in interceptions (16) and ninth in sacks (27). Freshman Reese Dziedzic tops the team with 57 tackles.

On offense, UW-Oshkosh averages 270 passing yards and 171 rushing yards. Cole Myhra owns a WIAC-high 13 touchdowns. In addition to Caleb Voss' all-around production (443 receiving yards), both Joe Sommers and Cory Wipperfurth are averaging 23 yards per catch.

UW-Stevens Point (4-3/2-2 WIAC) will try to counter the Titans' strengths. The Pointers are converting 50 percent of their third downs and have been sacked six times. UW-Oshkosh opponents are converting third downs at a 26-percent rate. UW-Stevens Point also owns the WIAC's best rush defense at 72 yards per game.

The Pointers' last three games have been decided by one score. They defeated UW-Eau Claire in overtime before falling to UW-Platteville, 24-23, and UW-La Crosse, 28-21. UW-Stevens Point couldn't overcome an early 21-point deficit last week during its loss to the Eagles.

Mitch Beau is a dual threat with 1,623 passing yards and another 208 rushing. The backfield consists of Adam Vesterfelt (412 yards), Ian Neville (313) and DeJaun Wright (167). Matt Sosinsky leads the receivers with 28 grabs for 399 yards and five touchdowns.

The conference's top tackler (63), Cody Seibel, guides the Pointers. Fellow linebacker Bo Seibel has recorded three interceptions this year.

This is the 112th meeting in the WIAC's longest rivalry. UW-Stevens Point holds a 61-42-8 record overall, but the Titans have averaged 47 points while winning the last two contests.
