Patel Honored As Division III Video Coordinator Of The Year

UW-Oshkosh's Bob Patel was named Division III Video Coordinator of the Year by the Collegiate Sports Video Association.

Patel was selected by a vote of his peers in the CSVA. He is now a finalist for the prestigious Bob Matey National Video Coordinator of the Year award, which will be announced at the annual banquet on May 16 in Tampa Bay, Fla.

The Bob Matey Award is presented to the video coordinator who displays innovation, determination, perseverance and technical skill as portrayed by the late Bob Matey, legendary video coordinator from Texas A&M.

Patel documented UW-Oshkosh's historical 2012 football season, when the Titans went 13-1 and reached the NCAA Division III Final Four.

Patel joined the UW-Oshkosh athletics department in 2007. He's been a CSVA member and the Division III representative since 2010. Patel, majoring in Radio/TV/Film, is a graduate of Menomonee Falls High School.

Before entering the video world, Patel served two tours of duty in Iraq with the U.S. Army.
