Titans Conduct Final Tune-Up For National Semifinal

The UW-Oshkosh football team held a morning practice on Friday (Dec. 7) at Concordia University in St. Paul, Minn. It was the final tune-up for the Titans before their national semifinal game against the University of St. Thomas tomorrow.

The domed facility allowed UW-Oshkosh to avoid the elements for one last time. A light snow fell outside throughout Friday and covered the field at O'Shaughnessy Stadium.

Both UW-Oshkosh and St. Thomas bring 13-0 records into Saturday's game, which kicks off at 2 p.m. The winner advances to the Stagg Bowl on Dec. 14 in Salem, Va.

The fifth-ranked Titans overcame double-digit deficits in each of their playoff victories. This is their first postseason appearance.

St. Thomas, ranked fourth, went undefeated in the regular season for the third straight year. The Tommies have been in the playoffs five times and saw their 2011 campaign end with a 20-0 loss to UW-Whitewater in the semifinal round.
