UW-Oshkosh can earn a school-record ninth win when it hosts the UW-Stevens Point football team on Saturday (Nov. 3) at J.J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium. Kickoff for the Titans' final home game of the regular season is 1 p.m.

UW-Oshkosh (8-0, 5-0 WIAC), ranked sixth in the NCAA Division III, can also secure the WIAC championship outright with a victory. The Titans' eight wins this season equal the school mark from 1968, 1972 and 1976. UW-Oshkosh extended its winning streak to 10 games with last Saturday's 41-7 victory over UW-La Crosse.

UW-Stevens Point (2-6, 1-4 WIAC) notched its first league victory on Oct. 27 with a 17-14 win over 13th-ranked UW-Whitewater. The Pointers gained a 14-0 halftime lead before holding off the Warhawks with a blocked field goal in the closing minutes. Theo Maglio posted 142 receiving yards, including an 84-yard touchdown, to lead the Pointers.

Maglio is the WIAC's top receiver with 56 catches for 906 yards and seven touchdowns. Mitch Beau handles the quarterback position, compiling 1,439 yards and eight touchdowns. The running game is split equally between Ethan Lockhart (335 yards) and Adam Vesterfelt (300 yards). UW-Stevens Point owns three of the WIAC's top-four tacklers, including league leader Cody Seibel (9.5 per game).

UW-Oshkosh's defense held its last seven opponents under 14 points. The unit ranks fourth in the nation with 29 sacks and 11th in scoring defense at 12 points per game. Taylor Goodman (Sr. • South Wayne) paces the Titans with 61 tackles, including five quarterback sacks. Tim Filter (Sr. • New Berlin) owns six interceptions to lead the conference.

Last Saturday, Nate Wara (Sr. • Oshkosh) threw for a career-high 369 yards and four touchdowns. He owns 1,897 yards, 17 touchdowns and just one interception in 211 passing attempts on the season. Cole Myhra (Jr. • Menomonee Falls) ranks among the WIAC rushing leaders with 772 yards and seven touchdowns. Receivers Zach Kasuboski (So. • Wautoma), with 36 catches, and Caleb Voss (Jr. • Van Dyne), with 740 yards, pace the receiving group.

At 111 meetings, this is the 14th-longest football series in NCAA Division III history. The Titans registered a 38-24 victory last season behind a school-record 684 yards of offense. UW-Stevens Point holds a 61-41-8 advantage dating back to 1896.
