Roach Named WIAC Special Teams Player Of The Week

The WIAC has selected UW-Oshkosh kick returner Jeremy Roach (So. • Deerfield) as its Special Teams Football Player of the Week. The award was for games played Oct. 27-Nov. 2.

Roach returned the second-half kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown during UW-Oshkosh's 34-33 overtime loss to UW-Stevens Point on Nov. 1. The return was the second-longest in UW-Oshkosh history.

Roach brought back four kickoffs for 139 yards against the Pointers, with his touchdown return giving the Titans a 13-10 lead.

The contest also featured Roach rushing 15 times for 60 yards and catching two passes for 76 yards. His 71-yard touchdown grab in the fourth quarter gave UW-Oshkosh a 26-13 lead.

Roach also returned the second half kickoff 86 yards for a touchdown in last year's 26-14 loss to UW-Whitewater.
