Supporters Hit The Greens At The Titan Golf Classic

It was another memorable day at the Oshkosh Country Club for the Sixth Annual Titan Golf Classic.

The event was held July 21 and focused on raising funds to help with Kolf Sports Center’s beautification project. Fundraising efforts have also helped impact each of the individual athletics programs at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

The 2017 edition of the Titan Golf Classic had yet another fantastic turnout in golfers with 136 participants. Those who played in the 18-hole scramble took part in several fun on-course contests, including longest putt, closest to the pin, longest drive and shortest drive. Participants also had the chance to better their score by allowing members of the UW-Oshkosh women’s golf team to play with them.

The event also included lunch, dinner and a variety of raffles.

UW-Oshkosh Assistant Chancellor, Director of Athletics Darryl Sims knows the success that the athletics department has achieved could not be possible without the support of those people who attended.

“The Titan Golf Classic went very well and was well attended,” Sims said. “It was another positive step by our community of supporting our athletics department and our individual teams, and we look forward to next year.”
