WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll Includes 324 Titans

The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference recognized 324 UW-Oshkosh student-athletes for achieving a 3.0 grade-point average or higher during the 2020-21 academic year.

UW-Oshkosh's selections to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll featured 165 student-athletes from its 11 women's and 159 from its eight men's programs.

The UW-Oshkosh honorees included 60 from football, 42 from women's outdoor track & field, 41 from women's indoor track & field, 33 from both men's indoor and outdoor track & field, 32 from baseball, 29 from women's soccer, 21 from women's volleyball and 19 from both women's basketball and women's gymnastics.

The WIAC also presented an All-Academic Award to those schools that had a student-athlete GPA that was equal to or greater than the GPA of the campus student body. All eight WIAC schools earned the All-Academic Award for the 2020-21 academic year to mark the first time in conference history that every institution secured the distinction.

Overall, UW-Oshkosh's 524 student-athletes combined for a 3.197 GPA this past year to edge the school's overall student population mark of 3.144.

Members of the UW-Oshkosh women's gymnastics team blended together to compile a department-best 3.748 GPA this past academic year while women's volleyball followed at 3.59, women's basketball at 3.46, women's swimming & diving at 3.433, women's soccer at 3.422 and women's cross country at 3.396.

2020-21 UW-Oshkosh Athletics Academic Highlights

UW-Oshkosh student-athletes combined to best the school's overall student population for the fourth straight year.

UW-Oshkosh student-athletes combined to surpass a 3.0 GPA for the fourth consecutive year.

Women's gymnastics established a department record with its 3.748 GPA (records began with the 1999-2000 academic year).

Baseball (3.271), men's basketball (3.265), men's swimming & diving (3.375) and men's indoor track & field (3.079) set program records with its GPA.

Men's basketball (11 of 16 - 68.7 percent), men's swimming & diving (8 of 11 - 72.7 percent) and women's volleyball (21 of 22 - 95.4 percent) had its highest percentage of selections to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll.
