Bio
Jean Schultz graduated from Waukesha South High School and went on to earn her bachelor's and master's from UW-Oshkosh in 1972 and 1980, respectively.
Schultz excelled in three sports at UW-Oshkosh, earning four varsity letters in basketball and volleyball and three in softball. She was elected team captain during the 1971-72 academic year in all three sports.
Schultz dedicated her career to making a positive impact on the lives of others. She held esteemed positions, including Regional Lead at Alliance for a Healthier Generation in California, and served at the National Middle School Association in Columbus, Ohio. Her passion for education extended to the Green Bay Area Public Schools, where she served as a physical education teacher, coach (basketball, swimming & diving and track & field) and contributed to curriculum and development.
Schultz was well known for her officiating skills, having participated in several intercollegiate and high school events in Wisconsin. Schultz also imparted her wisdom and guidance as a counselor and assistant director at Wisconsin’s Great Blue Heron Girl Scouts.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Schultz found joy in nature. She loves backpacking and completed a Colorado Outward Bound Expedition. Schultz is an avid cyclist. She is a self-taught guitarist with a beautiful singing voice. Schultz shares her musical talents as a member, president, and board member of the Sacramento Woman’s Chorus in California. She is also an unwavering Green Bay Packers fan.
Schultz passed away on July 25, 2023 in Sacramento, Calif. She is survived by wife Nondra Khali.
