Bio

A charter member of the Titan Booster Club, Richard Osborn enters the UW-Oshkosh Hall of Fame as an honorary member for his many years of meritorious service to athletics.

“OZ”, as he is known to friends and fans of UW-Oshkosh athletics, served on the Titan Booster Club Board of Directors from 1968-87 and was instrumental in the formation of the UW-Oshkosh Athletic Hall of Fame in 1974.

Osborn has given his time to numerous UW-Oshkosh committees, including the Intercollegiate Athletic Committee, Titan Stadium Dedication Committee and the Alumni Association, a position he still maintains.

Upon his retirement in June of 1987, Osborn completed 30 years as an associate professor of art at UW-Oshkosh. Within the art department, he was faculty advisor to majors in the field. A talented artist in his own right, Osborn has exhibited his work throughout the Midwest and has the publication “Through My Pipe Smoke” to his credit.
