Titan Wrestling to Take on Blugolds

OSHKOSH, Wis.—Hitting the road for their first conference dual, the UW-Oshkosh Titans are set to take on the Blugolds of UW-Eau Claire on Nov. 17. The Titans and Blugolds will take to the mat at 7 p.m. in Eau Claire, Wis.

The Titans and Blugolds have spilt the last four matches, with the Titans holding a 25-16-1 series lead.

Beau Yineman (197), Cody Welker (157), and Luc Valdez (125) lead the Titan wrestling squads with early season records of 9-1 (Yineman) 6-4 (Welker), and 7-5 (Valdez).

Yineman leads the team with five pins this season.  Yineman is ranked at No. 2 at 197 in the NWCA national rankings, released on Nov. 16.

In regional rankings, Yineman is ranked No. 2 in the Upper Midwest region at 197 by NWCA and Valdez is ranked No. 5 at 125 in the same region.

Eau Claire's Tyler Fleetwood is ranked No. 7 at 133 in the latest NWCA national rankings. Jared Stricker (No. 8 at 174) and Niall Schoenfelder (No. 15 at 184) are additional Blugolds that are ranked.

Valdez is a contender at 125 for the Titans. Preston Morgan (174) is ranked No. 10 while Yineman is No. 1 at 197. Curran is a contender for the Titans at 184.
