Women's Basketball to Host Whitewater in Midweek Matchup

OSHKOSH, Wis.—Looking for their second consecutive regular season sweep, the UW-Oshkosh Titans women's basketball squad (17-5, 7-4 WIAC) will host the UW-Whitewater Warhawks (17-5, 8-3 WIAC) on Wednesday evening. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. inside Kolf Sports Center.

The Warhawks, who are nationally-ranked, posted a 66-56 victory over the Titans on January 11. Since their meeting in Whitewater, the Titans have won seven straight games. The Titans hold a 5-2 record inside Kolf this season against opponents.

The Titans and Warhawks hold two of the top-3 spots in team field goal percentage, with the Titans sitting at 41.5% and the Warhawks at 42.7%. The Titans and Warhawks meet in the top-3 at the free throw line. Whitewater's Kacie Carollo leads the league at the line (88.7%) and Ava Douglas sits at No. 3, making 82.4% of her attempts at the line.

Outlook on Oshkosh

The Titans are averaging 63.2 points per game. Watching Whitewater

The Warhawks offense is second in the conference for scoring, averaging 67.7 points per game. Whitewater leads the WIAC in 3-pointer percentage, sitting at 33.6%. Whitewater leads the league with 10.5 steals per game. The Warhawks average 37.3 rebounds, 12.9 assists, and 17.9 turnovers per game. 

Carollo sits at No. 2 in the WIAC for scoring, averaging 15.5 points per game. Aleah Grundahl and Maggie Trautsch sit inside the top-10 for scoring. Carrollo sits at No. 5 in the league for rebounding with 7.3 per game. Carrollo leads the WIAC in steals (2.2 per game) while Abby Belschner leads the league in blocked shots at two per game.
