Froehlke Records Season Best Night as Oshkosh Falls to Stout

MENOMONIE, Wis.Bridget Froehlke recorded a season best game as the No. 19/12 UW-Oshkosh Titans fell on the road to the Blue Devils of UW-Stout. The Titans fell 58-66 to the Blue Devils.
 
Froehlke went 7-of-15 from the field, including three 3-pointers. as Froehlke led the Titans with 17 points.
 
Kayce Vaile recorded her fourth double-double of the season, grabbing 10 points and 10 boards in the contest.
 
The Titans shot 38.3% from the field (23-of-60 FG) and 35.3% from beyond the arc (6-of-17). The Titans collected 31 rebounds, 14 assists, and six steals in the contest. The Titans matched a season best for assists.
 
Game Summary
 
Kennedy Osterman and Ava Douglas hit back-to-back 3-pointers as the Titans took an early lead. Froehlke extended the lead to three points with 4:26 remaining in the first quarter. The Blue Devils fought to tie the game three times over two minutes. Ending the first quarter of play, Kate Huml and Vaile hit back-to-back jump shots. Allison Forney made three free throws to end the first quarter for the Titans.
 
Opening the second quarter of action, the Titans scored seven points to extend their lead to nine. Keeping defensive pressure on the Blue Devils, the Titans allowed four points in the over five minutes in the second quarter. The Blue Devils hit back-to-back shots to trim the Titans lead to five with 4:01 remaining in the first half. Froehlke hit a pair of 3-pointers in the final minute of play as the Titans took a 40-36 lead at the break.
 
Opening the third quarter, Douglas answered a basket from the Blue Devils to maintain the Titans lead. On an assist from Douglas, Forney hit a 3-pointer with 6:23 remaining in the third quarter. Osterman and Vaile hit a pair of layups to extend the Titans lead to five at 51-46.
 
Catching a pass from Jenna Jorgensen, Froehlke opened the fourth quarter with a basket to extend the Titans lead. Huml made the final jump shot of the game for the Titans, before making a single free throw at the 7:26 mark. Holding the Titans to five fourth quarter points, the Blue Devils handed the Titans their second conference loss of the season.

The Titans return to action on Dec. 19, as they compete at the Daytona Beach Shootout. The Titans are set to face Randolph-Macon College at 12 p.m. CST.
