Titans Headed to Brown Deer for Wisconsin College Showcase

OSHKOSH, Wis.—The UW-Oshkosh Titans are heading on the road for the first time this season to Brown Deer for the Wisconsin College Showcase.

Joining the Titans in Brown Deer in competition among other schools are fellow WIAC schools, UW-La Crosse and UW-Whitewater.

Looking at Titan Swimmers and Divers

In their first dual meet of the 2022-23 season, the men's swimming and diving hosted UW-Eau Claire in a 38-193 loss in Albee Hall.

Freshman Titan, Damen Seremet, finished in the top-three in two events. He took runner-up in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.83 seconds and finished in third with a time of 50.69 seconds in the 100-yard freestyle.

CJ Willert took a top-three as well in the 100-yard backstroke, finishing in 56.81 seconds.

Joey Jurva led the Titans in the 1-meter dive with a score of 142.79.

The women also lost their dual with UW-Eau Claire in Albee Hall, by a score of 45-185.

Francesca Schiro won two events on Saturday. She finished the 50-yard freestyle in 25.61 seconds and the 100-yard freestyle in 55.28 seconds.

Abbi Priestley took second in both diving events, scoring 212.39 in the 1-meter dive and 225.37 in the 3-meter dive.

Grace Fergus led the Titans in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:30.51 seconds.

Brianna Wesenberg took fourth in the 100-yard butterfly with a. time of 1:07.77 seconds.

Looking at Eagle Swimmers and Divers

Eagles' Evan Zimdars leads the WIAC in 1-meter diving with a top score of 328.20; Vance Winter is in third with 315.70.

The 200-yard medley relay team placed third in the Cows, Colleges and Contentment meet with a time of 1:36.97.

Blake Nelson is second in the WIAC with a time of 20.92 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle.

Jordy Hahlen had the best individual finish for the women's team with a third place 1:52.28 second finish in the 100-yard backstroke.

Autumn Seebach took fourth in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:13.03.

Looking at Warhawk Swimmers and Divers

The Warhawk's 200-medley relay squad placed second with a time of 1:40.42 in their first meet of the season at Illinois Tech.

Ethan Bergman won the 50-yard freestyle with a 25.16 time.

Dom Schlueter won the both the 100- and 200-yard freestyle, finishing in 48.00 seconds and 1:48.49, respectively.

Both 400-yard freestyle relay teams won their side with the men finishing in 3:18.56 and the women finishing in 3:53.91.

The women's team finished with a time of 1:56.00 seconds in the 200-yard freestyle.

Zaria Terry won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 25.16.

Naomi Hamerla finished first in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:04.83 seconds.

Gianna Gnewuch won the 100-yard backstroke, and Naomi Hamerla finished seconds with times of 1:03.37 and 1:07.37, respectively.
