Madigan Paces Titans at Augustana College interregional

ROCK ISLAND, Ill.- UW-Oshkosh women's cross-country team placed 12th in the 42-team Augustana College Interregional invite on Saturday (Oct. 14) with 446 points.

Cyna Madigan (Jr. • Rosendale) led all Titan runners in the 6,000-meter race with 23:05 for a 53rd-place finish.

Other Titans Amelia Lehman (Jr. • Oshkosh) placed 68th in 23:23, Josophine Makurat (So. • Fairfax, Va.) 83rd in 23:36, Gracie Buchinger (Fr. • Kimberly) 131st in 24:06, Jamie Catania (So. • Fond du Lac) 144th in 24:13, Libby Geisness (Jr. • Waukesha) 153rd in 24:20, and Zoe Watson (Fr. • Kiel) 156th in 24:23 all contributed to the team's points.

Evelyn Battleson-Gunkle of the University of Chicago (Ill.) won the individual title in 21:24 followed by Carolyn Shult from UW-Eau Claire in 21:27, and Lexi Brown from Wartburg College in 21:31.

University of Chicago (Ill.) won with 48 points, Wartburg College (Iowa) followed behind with 68 points, and Washington University in St. Louis (Mo.) with 129 points.

Titans Gwen Feitl (So. • Wheaton, Ill.) placed 182nd in 24:45, Emma Maly (Fr. • Clinton) placed 184th in 24:49 MacKenzie Dix (So. • Green Bay) placed 191st in 24:51.

Titans return to action at the UW-Whitewater Warhawk Open on Friday (Oct. 20). The women's race is set to begin at 4:45 p.m. following the men's race that begins at 4 p.m.
