Lehman Paces Titans at UW-Green Bay Phoenix Open

UW-Oshkosh earned a fourth place team finish with 109 total points at the UW-Green Bay Phoenix Open, held at the Phoenix Alumni Cross Country Course in Green Bay on Friday (Sept. 8). 

Division II Winona State University (Minn.) won the six-team meet with a total of 24 points, followed by the other Division II competitor Michigan Tech with 64. Division I UW-Milwaukee finished in third with 68 points. Division I UW-Green Bay and Division III St. Norbert College rounded out the fifth and sixth place finishes with 134 and 136 points respectively. 

With a time of 22:37.7, Amelia Lehman was the first of the Titan women to cross the finish line in the 6,000-meter race. She placed ninth overall out of the meet's 88 competitors.  

Other top-30 finishers for the Titans included Cyna Madigan who finished 17th with a time of 23:26.7 and Jamie Catania with a 29th place finish and a time of 24:12.1. 

Rounding out the top-8 Titans were Gracie Buchinger with a time of 24:24.3, Zoe Watson with a time of 24:34.5, Gwen Feitl with a time of 24:43.4 and Josie Makurat with a 24:45.3. 

The Titans will compete next in the UW-Platteville Gender Equity Invitational held on Saturday Sept. 23 at the Cole Acres Golf Course in Cuba City.
