Makurat Leads Titans to Second Place Finish
APPLETON, Wis.-- Josie Makurat led the UW-Oshkosh Titans women's cross country team to a second place finish at the Gene Davis Invitational at Lawrence University.
Makurat clocked in at 23:53.1, while Lauren Urban grabbed a fifth place finish at 23:54.8.
The Titans saw strong outings from their freshmen as MacKenzie Dix in tenth place (24:05.4) and Devon Tomas in twelfth (24:19.3).
Sydney Fricke grabbed a top-20 finish with a time of 24:25.5 for the Titans as Tricia Cich finished in the top-25 at 24:31.4.
The Titans return to action on Oct. 15 at the UW-La Crosse Tori Neubauer Invitational.
