Titans Take Second At Red Hawk Invite

UW-Oshkosh placed all its runners in the top-17 during a second-place showing at the Red Hawk Women's Cross Country Invitational on Saturday (Sept. 7) in Ripon.

Ripon College scored 39 points to win the event, while the Titans totaled 58 for second. Milwaukee School of Engineering listed third with 86, as Maranatha Baptist earned fourth with 100 in the six-team meet.

Morgan Engelhart came in sixth with her 6,000-meter time of 26:01. UW-Oshkosh then had Michelle Murray (26:41), Kendal Wormuth (26:43) and Gabrhael Walman (27:12) place 11th-13th.

The remaining Titans finished together, with Betsy Gray taking 16th in 27:49 and Andrea Brown listing 17th in 28:01.

Michelle Matter defeated 39 other runners with her victorious time of 24:11. Ripon's Karla Perez (24:44) and Elizabeth Abitz (24:45) followed in second and third place. The top-five also included fourth-place Margo Watson (25:09) of Maranatha and fifth-place Rebecca Sondelski (25:58) of MSOE.

The Titans return to action at the UW-Parkside Invitational next Saturday (Sept. 14).
