WIAC Names Malcheski Volleyball Player Of The Week

UW-Oshkosh outside hitter Katelyn Malcheski was selected as the WIAC Women's Volleyball Player of the Week for her performance in matches held Oct. 28 - Nov. 3.

Malcheski averaged 15 kills per contest during UW-Oshkosh's unbeaten road trip to the East Coast on Nov. 1-2. She earlier received the league's weekly award for the period of Oct. 14-20.

In the Titans' 3-0 sweep of Eastern Connecticut State University on Nov. 1, Malcheski totaled 19 kills and a hitting percentage of .679. At one point, she tallied 11 consecutive kills. Malcheski also recorded three digs.

Malcheski posted 14 kills in UW-Oshkosh's 3-2 victory over the University of Massachusetts-Boston on Nov. 2. She added four digs and three blocks.

The Titans (22-10) defeated Vassar College (N.Y.), 3-1, on Nov. 2, with the help of 12 kills, three digs and two blocks from Malcheski.

Malcheski hit .419 in the three matches while totaling 45 kills, 10 digs and five blocks.
