Titans To Host “Dig Pink Night"

Titans To Host “Dig Pink Night"

For the fifth consecutive year, the UW-Oshkosh women's volleyball team will join other WIAC schools in a cancer awareness initiative known as "Dig Pink."

This year's event, which is also a part of the "Titans Take Down Cancer" campaign, takes place when UW-Oshkosh hosts UW-La Crosse at 7 p.m. on Wednesday (Oct. 17) in Kolf Sports Center.

"Dig Pink" and "Titans Take Down Cancer" are promotional campaigns that support Breast Cancer Awareness. Over the past four years, WIAC schools have supported the "Dig Pink" initiative by raising more than $88,000.

UW-Oshkosh's awareness event benefits the American Cancer Society. Spectators can contribute to the organization in a number of ways. The UW-Oshkosh men's club volleyball team is conducting a 50/50 raffle and a bake sale. The women's volleyball program is also hosting a silent raffle.

Colleges Against Cancer will be selling pink wristbands. Pink hair extensions, courtesy of Salon CTI & Day Spa, will be available for $15. During intermission, Julie's Touch of Silver will perform.
