Titans Edge Blue Devils in Season Finale
EAU CLAIRE, Wis.—Closing out the regular season in a close battle against UW-Stout, the UW-Oshkosh Titans posted a 5-4 victory over the Blue Devils of Stout.
Hannah Stitt had the deciding point as the No. 5 singles match went the distance, going three hours to claim victory. Stitt posted scores of 6-7 (4), 6-1, 7-6 (4) over Madeline Binczak of Stout.
Cordelia Damkot and Louisa Damkot claimed victories at the No. 3 and No. 4 singles slots, as the Titans and Blue Devils split singles action.
Alysa Pattee and Alexandra Schmoldt defeated Lauren Couves and Ellie Becker of Stout (8-3) in the No. 1 doubles slot. The Damkot sisters claimed their second victory in the No. 2 doubles spot, posting an 8-2 win over Kyrstin Hanson and Ella Lamppa.
The Titans are set to conclude the 2022 fall campaign as they compete at the 2022 WIAC Tennis Championships on Oct. 22-23.
