Titans Make It Four Straight Wins

The UW-Oshkosh women's tennis team extended its winning streak to four matches with an 8-1 victory over Lawrence University on Wednesday (Sept. 27) in Appleton.

UW-Oshkosh, which has lost only three of 36 team points since suffering a 7-2 setback to UW-Eau Claire on Sept. 1, won all three of its doubles and five of its six singles contests during Wednesday's victory over the Vikings (6-9).

Alyssa Leffler was one of four UW-Oshkosh players to win both of her singles and doubles matches. She recorded a 6-0, 6-1 victory over the Vikings' Annie Harincar at No. 2 singles while teaming with Kelly Hodyl to post an 8-1 decision over Harincar and El Goblirsch at No. 2 doubles.

Hodyl also registered a 6-0, 6-0 sweep of Lindsey Lucas at No. 5 singles.

Hannah Peters was the third multiple winner for the Titans (4-1). She defeated the Vikings' Katie Nottberg, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 3 singles while partnering with Bailey Sagen to mark an 8-0 triumph over Nottberg and Lindsay Holsen at No. 1 doubles.

UW-Oshkosh's Lesley Kutnink contributed a pair of wins by ousting Goblirsch, 6-1, 6-3, at No. 4 singles while teaming with Ashlee Polena to beat Lucas and Alexis Shannon, 8-1, at No. 3 doubles.

The Titans concluded their list of winners with Monica Micoliczyk's 5-7, 6-1, 1-0 (10-6) victory over the Vikings' Tillie Teske at No. 6 singles.

Lawrence University earned its lone team point with Holsen's 6-1, 6-3 decision over Sagen at No. 1 singles.
