The UW-Oshkosh women's tennis team used a sweep of the six singles contests to register an 8-1 victory over UW-Stevens Point on Thursday (Oct. 6) in Stevens Point.

UW-Oshkosh's Bailey Sagen won at No. 1 singles with her 7-6 (2), 6-4 triumph over Katelyn Asfeld. Sagen earlier partnered with Hannah Peters to tally an 8-6 win over Asfeld and Jordan Tyjeski at No. 1 doubles.

Peters also took the No. 3 singles contest and joined Sagen, Samantha Koppa and Alyssa Leffler as multiple winners for the Titans.

Peters defeated Frances Weiss, 6-2, 3-6 (10-8) while Koppa ousted Tyjeski at No. 5 singles by a 7-5, 5-7 (10-4) result. Leffer captured the No. 2 singles bout with her 6-4, 6-1 decision over Erin Lemmer.

The Titans (6-2, 2-2 WIAC) also received 6-4, 6-2 wins from Annie Docter at No. 4 and Monica Micoliczyk at No. 6 singles. Docter was the winner over Abbey Johnson while Micoliczyk was the victor over Elizabeth Wilichowski.

UW-Oshkosh, which has won 16 of its last 23 matches against UW-Stevens Point, prevailed at No. 2 doubles as Koppa and Leffler defeated Johnson and Lemmer, 9-7.

UW-Stevens Point (4-7, 1-4 WIAC) earned its lone victory at No. 3 doubles, where the tandem of Weiss and Wilochowski defeated Hannah Nauth and Ashlee Polena, 8-5.

UW-Oshkosh is off until it visits UW-Stout on Oct. 14.
