Titans Open Home Schedule With Dominant Win

OSHKOSH, Wis.- The UW-Oshkosh women's swimming and diving team beat Carroll University 180-98 in its first home dual meet of the season on Saturday (Oct. 28), collecting 12 first-place finishes.

Sienna Della-Peruta (Fr. • Grayslake, Ill.), Bella Cichon (Fr. • Manhattan, Ill.), Megan Miles (Fr. • Tomahawk) and Francesca Schiro (Jr. • New Glarus) grabbed a first-place finish in the 400-yard medley relay in 4:19.32.

Abbi Priestley (So. • Neenah) took home top scores in the 1- and 3-meter diving events with scores of 251.77 and 279.00.

Schiro, Della-Peruta and Cichon got additional first-place finishes for the Titans. Schiro won the 100- and 200-yard freestyles in 53.97 and 2:00.02. Della-Peruta won the 100-yard backstroke and 400-yard IM in 1:02.91 and 5:04.89. Cichon won the 100- and 200-yard breaststrokes in 1:14.43 and 2:44.28.

Brianna Smith (Sr. • Waterford) won the 500-yard freestyle in 5:47.63 and raced to first with a time of 19:50.37 in the 1,650-yard freestyle. Amanda Richards (Jr. • Waterford) collected yet another first-place finish for Oshkosh with a 2:22.54 in the 200-yard backstroke.

The Titans return to action at home for a conference dual against UW-Whitewater next Saturday (Nov. 4). The meet is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
