Schiro Leads Titans At Wisconsin Showcase
BROWN DEER, Wis.- The UW-Oshkosh women's swimming & diving team collected five top-10 finishes at the annual Wisconsin Showcase Invite in Brown Deer on Saturday (Oct. 21).
Francesca Schiro (Jr. • New Glarus) led the Titans with three top-three finishes. She took second in both the 100- and 200-yard freestyle events, finishing in 54.23 and 1:56.94, respectively. She also took third in the 50-yard freestyle with a 24.85 finish.
Oshkosh's other top-10 finishers were Brianna Wesenberg (So. • Ripon) and Bella Cichon (Fr. • Manhattan, Ill.).
Wesenberg raced a 2:33.94 in the 200-yard butterfly for fourth place and Cichon placed eighth in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:36.20.
The Titans will return home to face Carroll University at Albee Hall next Saturday (Oct. 28) at 1 p.m.
