Schiro Grabs First Place Finishes; Titans Set Season Best Times
OSHKOSH, Wis.– Francesca Schiro landed two first place finishes as several Titans set new season best times in a non-conference dual against St. Norbert College. The UW-Oshkosh Titans swimming squad dropped the dual 154-40 to the Green Knights of St. Norbert.
Schiro added yet another first place finish for the Titans in the 200 Freestyle, timing in at 1:59.68. Schiro's time set a new season best, who previously timed in at 1:59.73 in the event.
Schiro would take top honors in the 100 Freestyle, clocking in at 54.83.
Taking runner-up honors in the 200 IM, Cadence Showalter timed in at 2:19.40. Showalter's time beat her time earlier this season and is only six seconds off the school record. Brianna Wesenberg took third place in the event, timing in at 2:26.39.
Continuing to set new season best times, Showalter took the second place finish in the 100 Butterfly, swimming a 1:03.20.
Brianna Smith led the Titans in the 1000 freestyle in a season best time, clocking in at 11:52.79. Angela Satterlee timed in at 13:25.90 in the event to round out the Titans.
Smith led the Titans in the 500 Freestyle, swimming a 5:44.12.
Wesenberg was the lone Titan to compete in the 100 Breaststroke, clocking in at 1:18.23.
The Titans return to action on Dec. 1 as they compete at the Carthage College Classic.
