Eagles Limit Titans To Just One Victory

Katie Challoner was the lone UW-Oshkosh event winner during the Titans' 208-32 loss to the UW-La Crosse women's swimming & diving team on Saturday (Jan. 23) in Albee Hall.

Challoner recorded a winning time of 1:08.44 in the 100-yard breaststroke to defeat eight other swimmers, including UW-Oshkosh's Katie Kubisiak who finished second with a time of 1:11.36.

Challoner also posted a fourth-place time of 2:22.27 in the 200-yard individual medley while swimming the second leg of the Titans' 400-yard medley relay that registered a second-place time of 4:26.68.

Other members of UW-Oshkosh's 400-yard medley relay squad were McKinzie Halkola, Casey Houts and Alison Panske.

UW-Oshkosh earned another second place with its time of 4:04.82 in the 400-yard freestyle relay. Swimming in that group were Paige Burgess, Sarah Gee, Davi Ruckdashel and Janelle Sharpee

The Titans received a pair of third-place finishes in the freestyle events as Sharpee swam to a time of 5:46.43 at 500 yards and Kara Atwood to a mark of 21:22.41 at 1,650.

UW-Oshkosh collected two other fourth-place mentions as Halkola swam to a time of 2:06.13 in the 200-yard freestyle while Sally Hesby totaled 242.15 points in the 3-meter diving.

The Titans are off until they visit Ripon College on Feb. 6.
