Titans Defeat Falcons For Third-Straight Win

MEQUON, Wis.- The UW-Oshkosh women's soccer team won its third consecutive game on Tuesday afternoon (Oct. 24) with a 2-1 decision over Concordia University Wisconsin at Fitting Field in Mequon.

The victory marked the second-straight time the Titans (5-9-3, 3-3 WIAC) left Mequon with a 2-1 win over the Falcons (5-8-3, 4-6-2 NACC), 15th win in over Concordia program history, and the first road win for Oshkosh this season.

Oshkosh trailed in shots (19-11) and shots on goal (11-5) but found the net twice on shots from Gabby Born (So. • Fond du Lac) and Brianna Kehl (Fr. • Oconomowoc). Goalkeeper Emma Sauriol (Jr. • New Lenox, Ill.) saved 10 shots in the game, the third time this season she recorded double-digit saves.

Multiple Titans shot more than once, including Anna Zenz (Fr. • West Allis) three times, and both Clark and Kehl twice.

Alayna Clark (Jr. • Watertown) assisted Born for the first goal and lead of the game in the 24th minute. In the 41st minute, the Falcons tied the game up on an unassisted goal by Lanie Czerkies.

Kehl scored her first career goal in game-winning fashion in the 62nd minute to break the tie. A pass from Jackson to just outside the 6-yard box gave Kehl a perfect opportunity to head the ball to the back of the net.

The Titans wrap up the regular season on Saturday (Oct. 28) at UW-Platteville with kickoff scheduled for 6 p.m.
