Women’s Soccer Falls to University of Chicago at Home

OSHKOSH, Wis.- The UW-Oshkosh women's soccer team fell to the University of Chicago (Ill.) at J. J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium by a score of 5-0.

The Titans would end up with three shots on goal in the game. Alayna Clark had two while Gabriella Mattio had the other. On defense for the Titans, goalkeeper Emma Sauriol would end the game with a season-high 10 saves.

Going into halftime, the Titans trailed by a goal Kaitlyn Gomez scored the Maroons' first half goal in the 32nd minute. During the second half, UChicago scored four more goals from Hannah Rittenhouse in the 47th minute, Mary Stuart Kerrigan in the 57th minute, Bella Mahoney in the 75th minute and Valerie Champagne in the 89th minute, sealing the game away for the Maroons.

The Titans will head to Michigan this weekend for matches at Kalamazoo College on Friday (Sept. 22) and at Albion College on Saturday (Sept. 23). Both matches are set to kickoff at 4 PM CT. This will be the first-ever matchup between UWO and Kalamazoo. UWO and Albion have faced each other once before, in a neutral site game in Bloomington, Ill. on Sept. 4, 2004. The Titans defeated the Britons 4-1.
