Titans Defense Holds Warhawks to Draw

OSHKOSH, Wis.—A defensive battle under the lights saw the UW-Oshkosh Titans (4-6-5, 0-2-3 WIAC) battled to a 0-0 draw against the Warhawks of UW-Whitewater (9-3-4, 3-1-1).

Mallory Kerhin and the Titans defense faced 13 shots from the Warhawks. Kerhin recorded two saves as the Warhawks saw 11 shots be off target.

The Warhawks' Allie Prigge, who leads the WIAC in goals and is No. 3 in shots on goal, was held to eight shots with one on target. The Titans held the Warhawks to their first conference draw of the season. 

The Titan offense came out firing, recording three shots in the opening two minutes. Mackenzie Bennett, who recorded two of the Titans first three shots, recorded three shots on target in the game. The Titans had six shots on goal, with ten total shots in the game.

Hitting the road for a WIAC match-up, the Titans will face UW-La Crosse on Oct. 22.
