Titans Drop Defensive Battle Against Platteville

OSHKOSH, Wis.—It was a defensive battle between the UW-Oshkosh Titans and the UW-Platteville Pioneers at J. J.Keller Field at Titan Stadium as the Titans fell late to the Pioneers 1-0.

The Titans (4-6-4, 0-2-2 WIAC) offense put the pressure on early, firing off 12 shots in the first half. The Pioneers (10-3-1, 3-1 WIAC) recorded seven shots in the first half before finishing the game with 11 shots total.

Mallory Kerhin tended the net for the Titans, recording three saves in the match.

Rosie Rojewski led the Titans with four shots in the game, while Alexia Poulos, Molly Jackson, Grace Herrmann, and Mackenzie Stein added three shots apiece.

The Pioneers scored in the 85th minute of play on a penalty kick after a foul in the box by the Titans.

The Titans finish their three-game home stand, hosting UW-Whitewater on Oct. 19.
