Herrmann Nabs a Brace in Titans Draw

STEVENS POINT, Wis.--Grace Herrmann struck twice for the UW-Oshkosh Titans soccer squad battled to a 2-2 draw this afternoon in Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (WIAC) action.  

The Titans (3-5-3, 0-1-1 WIAC) struck first against UW-Stevens Point (3-6-3, 0-1-1 WIAC)  as Herrmann caught a pass from Greta Steines in the ninth minute. Herrmann wasted little time in the second half, connecting with Mackenzie Bennett and Samantha Petroski for the second goal of the afternoon in the 47th minute. Herrmann's brace was the first of her career. 

The Pointers of Stevens Point answered both goals from the Titans, scoring in the 15th and 71st minutes. 

The Titans recorded twenty-one shots (nine on target) in the match, with Alayna Clark (5) and Herrmann (4) leading the way. 

Minding the net for the Titans, Emma Sauriol faced eight shots on target from the Pointers offense. 

The Titans return to action on Oct. 8 as they travel to UW-Stout for a 2 p.m. game.
