Kaufmann and Herrmann Score as Titans Shutout Pioneers

WAUKESHA, Wis.Rylie Kaufmann put the UW-Oshkosh Titans on the board as Grace Herrmann added the second goal as the Titans defeated the Pioneers of Carroll University, 2-0.

Kaufmann got to work scoring her fifth goal of the season early, as the Titans offense got started early. Kaufmann fired into the lower-right corner of the net in the sixth minute.

The Pioneers had an early shot but were unable to break through as Mallory Kerhin recorded an early save for the Titans.

Kaufmann and Gabby Born each took attempts at goal in the first half and forced saves from the Pioneers keeper.

The lower-right corner of the net was the spot for the Titans as Herrmann tucked the ball in for the second goal in the 50th minute of action.

The Titans recorded eight shots in the game, with four on goal. Kerhin tallied five saves in the game as the Pioneers recorded 14 shots.

The Titans grabbed their third shutout this season and return to action on Oct. 1. The Titans open league play against UW-Eau Claire for senior night with kickoff at 7 p.m.
