Jackson Scores as Titans Battle Spartans

OSHKOSH, Wis.--Molly Jackson had the lone goal for the UW-Oshkosh Titans as the Titans fell 2-1 to the University of Dubuque Spartans this afternoon.  

The Titans had three shot attempts in the first ten minutes of action, bringing the offensive pressure early. A defensive battle was held through the first half as the Titans outshot the Spartans 10-7.  

The Spartans broke through the Titans defense in the 49th minute of play.  

Jackson had the answer for the Titans, nearly two minutes later to even the game at one.  

The Spartans would catch pass through a score the game-winning goal at the 63rd minute.  

The Titans recorded 19 shots in the game, compared to 13 from the Spartans. The Titans had 8 shots on target, forcing seven saves from the Spartans keeper.  

Emma Sauriol took over the keeper spot for the Titans, facing two shots on goal. Jackson had four shots in the game while Mackenzie Bennett recorded three shots for the Titan offense.  

The Titans continue their homestand on Sept. 21 as they host North Central College.
