Nina Muzi, WIAC Student-Athlete Spotlight

Each week during the 2015-16 academic year, the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference will feature two student-athletes (one male and one female) from one of its eight institutions for a "Student-Athlete Spotlight" Q & A segment. The segments will be posted every Thursday on the WIAC website.

Why did you choose to attend UW-Oshkosh?
I chose UW-Oshkosh mainly for my nursing major, as they are one of the top nursing schools in the state. I also knew that their sports teams were competitive and would challenge me.

What is the greatest lesson you have learned from being a student-athlete?
The biggest thing that I will take with me for the rest of my life is time management. Unlike traditional students, you don't have a lot of downtime. When you're not in class you're either at practice, prepping for a game or studying. Time is definitely precious.

Playing in the 2014 NCAA postseason tournament. Definitely something that I'll remember for the rest of my life.

What is your favorite thing to do off the court/field with your teammates?
We just like to hang out and eat most of the time. We'll watch movies or shows together.

I want to travel anywhere I can.

Do you have any pre-game/pre-event rituals? If so, what are they?
I always have to make sure I have a right and a left sock. Then dancing and singing with everyone in the locker room.

Your worst habit is?
Procrastination. I may manage my time, but I will forever wait until the last minute.
