Elliott, Mann Gather All-Region Accolades

UW-Oshkosh women's soccer players Robyn Elliott and Nikki Mann have received NCAA Division III All-North Region Third-Team honors by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

A total of 35 players were named to the three teams, including five from Lake Forest College (Ill.), four from UW-Whitewater and three from the College of Saint Benedict (Minn.).

Elliott, a sophomore midfielder, was a second-team selection a year ago. She started all 21 UW-Oshkosh matches this season and scored 14 points on six goals and two assists. Elliott ranked fourth in the WIAC in match-winning goals (three) and seventh in both goals and points. Elliott has totaled 26 points on 10 goals and six assists during her 42-match career.

Mann, a junior defender, joined Elliott as a starter in all 21 matches for UW-Oshkosh this season. She anchored a defense that posted 12 shutouts and allowed just 12 goals for a goals-against average of 0.56, the 21st-lowest figure in the NCAA Division III. Mann's 61-match career includes five points on two goals and one assist.

Selected to the first team were goalkeeper Jordan Myers from UW-Whitewater; defenders Libby Fransdal from Concordia College (Minn.), Sarah Sedlar from UW-Whitewater and Erin Wilson from Luther College (Iowa); midfielders Molly Allen from Augsburg College (Minn.), Laura Prosinski from Concordia College, Ellen Rogers from Lake Forest College; and forwards Michelle Greeneway and Holly Lesperance from Lake Forest College, Olivia Muyres from Augsburg College and Brandi Peltier from Ripon College.

UW-Oshkosh compiled a 12-8-1 record this season and finished second in the WIAC with a 6-2 mark. The Titans defeated regular-season champion UW-Whitewater, 1-0, in the final of the WIAC Championship to earn a NCAA Division III postseason tournament bid. UW-Oshkosh's third appearance in the NCAA Division III Championship ended with a 1-0, first-round loss to Augsburg College on Nov. 15 in Chicago, Ill.
