Women's Soccer Team "Playing For A Cause"

The UW-Oshkosh women's soccer team will celebrate "Play for a Cause Day" at its game against UW-Platteville on Saturday (Oct. 26) at 6:30 p.m.

The Titans will be playing in support of the fight against childhood cancer and will be collecting monetary donations, as well as specific items to donate to the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. In addition to the donations, UW-Oshkosh will have several local children acting as honorary captains for the contest.

Items being accepted (must be new) for donation:

-     Board games

-     Card games

-     Toys for both boys and girls

-     Gift cards (iTunes, Starbucks, Target, Toys "R" Us)

-     Children's DVDs

-     ChapStick 

-     Nail polish

-     Hand sanitizer

-     Coloring books

-     Crayons 

-     Markers

-     Arts & crafts materials

This is the third consecutive year the WIAC is promoting its "Playing For A Cause" campaign. Each of the nine women's soccer teams selected a cause and will bring awareness to it at a home match.
