Titans, Falcons Unable To Reach A Decision

The UW-Oshkosh and UW-River River Falls women's soccer teams battled through regulation and double overtime for a scoreless decision on Saturday (Sept. 22) at J.J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium.

The contest featured 29 shots, with seven saved by UW-River Falls goalkeeper Rebecca Kramer and six by UW-Oshkosh goalkeeper Katie Berkopec (Jr. • Apple Valley, Minn.). Both goalies stopped two shots during overtime.

UW-Oshkosh (6-0-2/2-0-1 WIAC), ranked 18th in the NCAA Division III by D3soccer.com, finished the match with 14 shots and four corner kicks. The Titans attempted five shots in both the first and second periods and four in the first overtime session.

Becca Blue (Sr. • Kimberly) and Chelsea Kierszh (Jr. • Oshkosh) both launched three shots for UW-Oshkosh, while Kiley Hauck (Jr. • Hubertus) and Ashley Nicholas (Jr. • Wrightstown) fired two each.

UW-River Falls (4-3-1/1-0-1 WIAC) ended the game with 15 shots and four corner kicks. The Falcons dispatched eight of their shots in the second half and five in the first.

Alyssa Manor led UW-River Falls with six shots, while Anna Kouba had three and Hannah Danke and Cassie Stang two each.

UW-Oshkosh recorded its sixth shutout of the season, including the fourth by Berkopec. The Titans have allowed just two goals in their eight matches.

UW-Oshkosh returns to J.J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium on Sunday (Sept. 23) to host North Park University (Ill.).
