Titans Clip Falcons To Earn Spot In WIAC Tournament

Abby Neumeyer (Fr. • Suamico) scored off a rebound of a teammate's missed shot as UW-Oshkosh qualified for the WIAC Women's Soccer Tournament with a 1-0 victory over UW-River Falls on Saturday (Oct. 30) at J.J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium.

Neumeyer was maneuvering in front of the UW-River Falls goal when Kelsey Spaith's (Jr. • Madison) shot bounced her way after deflecting off Falcon goalkeeper Rachel Thompson. Neumeyer quickly retrieved the loose ball and then scored her third goal of the season with a perfect 10-yard kick in the game's 70th minute (69:14) of play.

UW-Oshkosh (9-7-1/3-4-1 WIAC)
totaled 15 shots and six corner kicks in the contest. The Titans were led by the four shots of Caitlin Casey (Sr. • Waukesha) and the three of both Spaith and Chelsea Kierszh (Fr. • Oshkosh).

UW-River Falls (10-8-1/4-4 WIAC) was held to six shots, with four of them belonging to Carlin Bunting. The Falcons acquired three corner kicks, including two in the last two minutes of action.
