Nagan Earns CoSIDA Academic All-District Honor

UW-Oshkosh midfielder Steffanie Nagan (Jr. • Kaukauna) has been selected to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA)/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District V Women's Soccer Team. Nagan, who was voted to the 35-member College Division squad by sports information directors within the region, was named to the third team.

This season, Nagan has played in all 18 matches for a UW-Oshkosh team that has compiled a 9-7-2 record. She has attempted three shots while helping the Titans tally five shutouts.

Last year, Nagan played in all 19 matches and totaled one assist. In 2007, Nagan played in 14 of the Titans' 19 matches and scored her lone career goal in an 8-0 victory over Lawrence University.

Nagan owns a perfect 4.00 cumulative grade point average as a broadfield natural science major. The four-time University Dean's List honoree is a member of SAIL, a UW-Oshkosh tutoring program for elementary school children.

The WIAC had three other players named to the 2009 CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District V Women's Soccer Team, midfielder Jackie Spees of UW-Stevens Point, defender Alyssa Walker of UW-Eau Claire and midfielder Kaitlin Arjes of UW-Stout. Spees was selected to the first team, Walker the second and Arjes the third.
