Titans Grab Five Wins Against Lakeland

PLYMOUTH, Wis.- UW-Oshkosh men's wrestling secured five individual wins on Thursday (Jan. 25) against Lakeland University on the road in a non-scoring dual.

JP Culver (Fr. • Vicksburg, Mich.) was the first to claim victory, pinning JJ Little in 4:50 in the 133-pound match. Michael Loger (So. • Andover, Minn.) collected two wins, both in the 184-pound contests. He defeated Nidal Farah by an 8-0 major decision and won by a 17-0 technical fall against Tyler Lovejoy. Matt Hanke (Sr. • Theresa) collected his third fall of the season, pinning Bryan Romero in 4:55 and Brodie Driessen (Fr. • West Allis) also won after pinning Eric Jenkins Jr. in 2:44. 

In the 149-pound duels, Ira Schlottke (Fr. • Grafton) was defeated in both matches, after being pinned by Reagan Bowerman and Shiochi Hashimoto and Wyatt Raab won against Andrew Schad (So. • Kiel) by fall. In the 165-pound tilt, Joey Spizzirri (So. • Palatine, Ill.) was defeated by a 17-2 technical fall to Evan Haferkom and was pinned in his second match by Parker Stroud. In the 285-pound bout, Diego Morales won by pinning Camden Harms (Fr. • Mahomet, Ill.) and Guyon Cyprian Jr. (Sr. • Chicago, Ill.) also lost to Diego Morales by 15-0 technical fall.

The Titans return to action on Saturday (Jan. 27) at the Loras College (Iowa) Open. The tournament is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.
