Trio of Titans Compete at Art Kraft Memorial
RIVER GROVE, Ill.—A trio of Titans competed at the Art Kraft Memorial Invitaional today for the UW-Oshkosh wrestling program, hosted by Triton College.
Tim Fox competed for the Titans at the 133-lbs class, placing fourth overall. Fox collected two wins by decisions, a win by fall, and a win by no contest to reach the third place match. Fox fell in a 6-1 decision to claim fourth place.
At 165, Michael Loger placed fifth for the Titans. Loger opened the day, falling by Brendan Parks (Harper College) by a fall. Loger won his next three bouts by falls to reach the consolation semifinal round. Loger fell in the semifinal bout before winning by a tech fall in the fifth place match.
Joey Spizzirri dropped his opening match for the Titans at 157, falling to Xavier Byrne (Henry Ford College). Spizzirri won over Brandon Quinn, as Quinn faced a disqualification in the bout. Spizzirri fell to Tony Pacetti (Joliet Junior College) by tech fall.
The Titans return to action on Jan. 12, hosting UW-Platteville in a WIAC match-up.
