Smith Named WIAC Wrestler Of The Week

UW-Oshkosh's Julius Smith was named the WIAC Wrestler of the Week for his performance in events held Jan. 16-22.

Smith defeated returning All-American Austin Cook during UW-Oshkosh's 44-3 road loss to fifth-ranked UW-La Crosse on Jan. 20.

UW-La Crosse extended its lead over the Titans to 37-0 before Smith registered a 9-8 win over Cook at 184 pounds. Cook compiled a 31-14 record last season and placed sixth at the NCAA Division III Championship.
