Titans Claim All Four Events Over Warriors On The Road

WINONA, Minn.- The UW-Oshkosh women's gymnastics squad took down Winona State University (Minn.) 190.225-183.800 on the road on Friday night (Jan. 19).

This was UW-Oshkosh's first time back in the McCown Gymnasium since winning its second consecutive National Collegiate Gymnastics Association national championship on March 25, 2023.

The Titans (2-4, 2-0 WIAC) took the top spot in all four events, registering a season-high 48.200 points on the vault, 46.950 points on the uneven bars, 47.050 points on the balance beam and 48.025 points on the floor exercise.

Reanna McGibboney (So. • Chester Springs, Pa.) scored a 9.775 on the vault, claiming first place and a season-high in the process. She was joined in the top-eight by Mia Lucero (Jr. • Bolingbrook, Ill.) and Emily Buffington (Sr. • Huntersville, N.C.) in second with a season-high 9.675 points, Anna Zoromski (Sr. • Wausau) in fourth with a score of 9.600 points and Amaya McConkay (So. • Broken Arrow, Okla.) in eighth with a 9.475.

With 9.600 points on the uneven bars, Kaylie Berens (Sr. • Golden, Colo.) won the event. McGibboney turned in a 9.500 for second place while McConkay and Zoromski both scored 9.300 to tie for fifth, Lydia Hayden (So. • Broomfield, Colo.) took seventh with 9.250 points and Zoe Krull (Jr. • Brownsburg, Ind.) grabbed eighth with 9.200 points.

Zoromski took her turn at the top with a 9.600-point performance on the balance beam. Liz Romano (Jr. • Royersford, Pa.) scored 9.575 points for second, Hayden finished in the top-eight again with 9.475 points for fourth and Buffington finished sixth with 9.325 points.

UW-Oshkosh secured the top-three spots on the floor exercise, and five spots in the top-eight, led by Jay Ratkowski (Fr. • Franklin) with a season-high 9.725 points. Lucero and McGibboney tied for second with 9.650 points. Buffington grabbed fifth with a 9.600 and Delaney Cienkus (Jr. • Plainfield, Ill.) grabbed eighth with 9.400 points.

The Titans return to action at home next Friday (Jan. 26), facing Simpson College (Iowa) at 7 p.m. in the first meeting between the two teams.
