No. 1 Titans Extend Streak Of At Least 188 points, Fall To No. 2 Eagles In First Conference Loss

LA CROSSE, Wis.- The No. 1 nationally ranked UW-Oshkosh Titans fell to the No. 2 UW-La Crosse Eagles by a score of 192.000-188.600 in their first conference loss of the season. 

The Titans scored a 47.600 on the uneven parallel bars, a 47.275 on the vault, a 46.050 on the floor exercise and a 47.675 on the balance beam.

Sophomore Sam Zeilinger and graduate student Rahdea Jarvis led the Titans on the uneven bars with 9.625 scores, tying with two Eagles. Seniors Trinity Sawyer and Adana Amor tied each other for sixth with scores of 9.550.

As the top Oshkosh finisher, freshman Reanna McGibboney took third in the vault, tying La Crosse's Sarah Pastore with a score of 9.650. The Titans took sixth through eighth with a score of 9.575 from sophomore Mia Lucero, a 9.375 from Sawyer and a 9.350 from freshman Mady Bellmore.

On the floor exercise, senior Kennedy Springer scored an Oshkosh-best 9.500, taking sixth place. Oshkosh gymnasts took the following spots with Jarvis in seventh with a score of 9.450 and sophomore Delaney Cienkus in eighth with a score of 9.350.

In the last rotation of the night, Oshkosh was led by junior Anna Zoromski and sophomore Ella Wilson on the balance beam. They tied with La Crosse's Marise Zepeda for second with scores of 9.600. Bellmore and sophomore Liz Romano tied for fifth with scores of 9.575.

Looking Forward

The Titans return to action on Friday, Feb. 3 in St. Paul, Minn., taking on the Hamline University Pipers at 6:30 p.m. in Hutton Arena.
