Titans Open Conference Season with Dual Win Over Gustavus Adolphus

OSHKOSH, Wis.- The UW-Oshkosh gymnastics squad opened WIAC dual competition with a win over Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) on Saturday.

The Titans won three of the four events against the Gusties, finishing with a total score of 188.675 points, accumulating 48.450 points on the vault, 46.225 points on the uneven parallel bars, 46.000 points on the balance beam and 48.000 points on the floor exercise. 

Sophomore Daejah Rose led the Titans with a 9.800 score on the vault, the highest score of any gymnast in the meet. Freshman Reanna McGibboney followed in second (9.775), and fifth year Rahdea Jarvis and sophomore Mia Lucero each scored a 9.650. 

McGibboney was the top finisher on both teams in the uneven bars with a score of 9.325. Jarvis earned second with a 9.300.

On the balance beam, junior Anna Zoromski finished in second place with a 9.425 score. Kaylie Berens took third with a 9.325. Honorable mention performances came from Delaney Cienkus and Lydia Hayden.

Cienkus led all competitors in the floor exercise with a 9.750 score. McGibboney (9.725), Hayden (9.675) and Kennedy Springer (9.550) took second through fourth. Jarvis earned an honorable mention performance with a 9.300.

Looking Forward

The Titans return to action on Friday, Jan. 27 in Menomonie to face conference opponent UW-Stout at 6:00 p.m. Oshkosh last faced the Blue Devils in a dual in the 2017-18 season, falling at home.
