Titans Rank Fourth Against NCAA Division I Competition

Krystal Walker recorded season bests in all five categories during UW-Oshkosh's fourth-place performance at the Rutgers University Women's Gymnastics Quadrangular held Saturday (Jan. 31) in Piscataway, N.J.

UW-Oshkosh, which was competing against three NCAA Division I schools, also established a season high with its 188.325 points in the team competition. The Titans counted 47.925 points in the floor exercise, 47.00 on the uneven bars, 46.825 on the vault and 46.575 on the balance beam.

Michigan State University, ranked 21st by GymInfo, captured the team title with 194.95 points, while Rutgers University finished second with 194.35 and Brown University (R.I.) third with 192.875.

Walker placed fourth in the all-around competition with a score of 38.175. She finished 10th on the balance beam with 9.625 points, 14th in the floor exercise with 9.65, 17th on the uneven bars with 9.425 and 18th on the vault with 9.475.

UW-Oshkosh's Leane Blais took 13th place on the uneven bars with 9.60 points and 15th on the balance beam with 9.35. Taylor Ennocenti shared 14th place in the floor exercise with Walker.

The Titans also had a pair of 16th-place finishers as Tabitha Dorshorst scored 9.325 points on the balance beam and Kasandra Stamopoulos 9.50 on the uneven bars.

Michigan State University owned four individual winners as Lisa Burt scored 38.60 points in the all-around competition, Nicola Deans 9.85 on the vault, Anna Gamelo 9.90 in the floor exercise and Mackenzie Smith 9.875 on the uneven bars.

Claudia Salinas of Rutgers University claimed first place on the balance beam with 9.875 points.

After two consecutive meets on the road, UW-Oshkosh returns to Kolf Sports Center to host Winona State University (Minn.) on Friday (Feb. 6).
