Endres and Herrin Finish Division III Classic Tied for 47th

HASTINGS, Minn.- Taryn Endres and Kylie Herrin each shot a 169 over the two-day Division III Classic held at the Emerald Greens Golf Course in Hastings, Minn.

Endres shot an 80 (eight-over par) on Saturday and an 89 (17-over par) on Sunday over the classic's 36 holes. Herrin shot an 86 (14-over par) and 83 (11-over par) over the two days. Endres and Herrin ended the meet tied with each other and five other golfers for 47th place.

They shared their finish with Erin Rosencrantz from UW-La Crosse, Jenna Piepkorn from Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.), Anna Lindemann from the College of St. Scholastica (Minn.), Kirstyn Barsola from Macalester College (Minn.) and Taylar Nadler from the College of St. Benedict (Minn.).

Also playing for UWO this weekend were Alyssa Dreher, Josie Hofer, Ava Downie and Sydney Bornhorst. Dreher took 54th with 170 total strokes (26-over par), Hofer shot a 172 (28-over par) for 59th, Downie shot a 175 (31-over par) for a tie for 64th and Bornhorst tied for 79th with 181 total strokes (37-over par).

Carleton College's (Minn.) Carter Sichol won the meet with 148 total strokes (four-over par). Sydney Monge of St. Olaf College (Minn.) took second with 149 total pars (five-over par) and Natalie Tatar from Carleton finished third with 151 total strokes (seven-over par).

UW-Oshkosh finished 12th in the 16-team classic with 682 total strokes (106-over par). The Titans shot 338 strokes on Saturday and 344 strokes on Sunday.

Carleton won the team title, shooting 609 total strokes (33-over par). The Knights were followed by UW-La Crosse with 627 total strokes (51-over par) and Gustavus Adolphus with 630 total strokes (54-over par).

The Titans will return to action for the two-day UW-La Crosse Invitational on Saturday (Sept. 23) at The Golf Club at Cedar Creek in Onalaska.
